Soft plumes of very tactile grass from early summer. Stands well through winter, turning progressively blonder. To 60cm. Hardy, but dislikes wet frozen soil. Less tangly and paler than 'Pony Tails'
To cut back, or not? If you cut the plant back to ground level in early spring, you'll get swathes of fresh green growth by mid-summer. If you don't you'll get a blend of green growth through last year's blond fronds, which looks equally pretty. Horses for courses...
