Bluebell Cottage Gardens and Nursery

Tucked away down a quiet country lane, this rural gem is one of Cheshire's best kept secrets.

Owned and managed by former BBC Gardener of the Year, Sue Beesley, Bluebell Cottage Gardens, nursery, wildflower meadows and bluebell woods make a perfect half day out for keen gardeners, wildlife enthusiasts, or anyone in need of a break from the whirlwind of modern life.

Nursery and Gardens are open Wed-Sun 10-5 plus Bank Holidays until October 1st. See Visitor Information for more details.

Our online shop is open 24 hours a day throughout the year

19th April 2017

Bluebells! Our bluebells are out and looking wonderful. Bring boots or sturdy shoes as the woods are a little steep and slippy in places. If the weather stays cool, they should be in flower until early May.

5th April 2017

The nursery and gardens are now open for the 2017 season. Opening hours are 10-5 Wed-Sun (we are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays). Garden entry is free until Easter while we finish some projects. Cathy is back with her home-made cakes. Hope to see you soon!

  Lathyrus vernus

Sue recommends:

Lathyrus vernus (Spring pea)
Pretty two-tone pea flowers in early spring. Makes a tidy clump amid Pulmonarias and Primulas
