Bluebell Cottage Gardens and Nursery

Tucked away down a quiet country lane, this rural gem is one of Cheshire's best kept secrets.

Owned and managed by former BBC Gardener of the Year, Sue Beesley, Bluebell Cottage Gardens, nursery, wildflower meadows and bluebell woods make a perfect half day out for keen gardeners, wildlife enthusiasts, or anyone in need of a break from the whirlwind of modern life.

The nursery is open in March 2017, Wed/Thur/Fri 10am to 5pm. The gardens re-open on April 1st. See Visitor Information for more details.

Our online shop is open 24 hours a day throughout the year

5th March 2017

The nursery is now open! March opening hours are Wed/Thur/Fri 10-5. Lots of choice spring plants coming in to flower and plenty to follow. Do browse our website before you come and ask us for anything that's taken your eye. We have only put a small selection out so far - hundreds more varieties are growing on behind the scenes.

28th February 2017

Lots of new plants arriving this week - 166 new varieties in total! Lovely to see the first new shoots opening - the nursery is coming to life for the 2017 season.

  Lathyrus vernus

Sue recommends:

Lathyrus vernus (Spring pea)
Pretty two-tone pea flowers in early spring. Makes a tidy clump amid Pulmonarias and Primulas
