How to find Bluebell Cottage Gardens and Nursery

Important information about our re-opening arrangements

The gardens, nursery and tea room are now open Wed-Sat 10-5. There is no need to pre-book. If you wish to, you can purchase tickets for the gardens in advance to avoid any queueing at the counter.

Entry to the gardens is free for RHS members and we are pleased to accept the BBC GW 2-for-1 card. The tea room is open with reduced seating inside but plenty of outside seating. We look forward to welcoming you.

Visiting our plant nursery and shop

Visiting the nursery and shop is free of charge, and advance booking is not required, but facemasks are required at all times in these areas. We strongly suggest placing a Click and Collect order before arrival, or review our stock online and bring a list of what you wish to purchase. Please note that not all of our stock is kept in the retail area of the nursery.

Opening Hours
Our opening hours are Wednesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm. Please note we are closed Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays.

Admission Prices
Tickets for visiting the gardens are 5.00 per person with 20% of all ticket proceeds going to the National Garden Scheme charity. We accept the Gardener's World Two-for-One pass.

RHS Members
Garden entry is free to RHS members.

Easy to find, Bluebell Cottage Gardens and Nursery is located in Cheshire, just a few minutes drive from junctions 10 or 11 of the M56.

From M56 Junction 10

Take the A49 south towards Whitchurch. After about 3 miles, take the A533 right at a traffic light controlled cross-roads (garage on the corner). Lodge Lane is a left turn after about 1 mile.

From M56 Junction 11

Take the A56 south towards Frodsham. Take the first left along Windmill Lane, or the second left along the A533 towards Northwich. Windmill Lane joins the A533 after about 1.5 miles. Lodge Lane is a right turn off the A533 and the nursery is signposted 200 yds beforehand.

Parking

There is plenty of free car parking available for visitors. Disabled visitors are welcome to park at the top of the track, next to the tea room. Coach parking is available by prior arrangement only.

Public transport

The gardens and nursery are not served directly by public transport services. The nearest train station is Runcorn East or Runcorn, from where you can cycle or take a pre-booked taxi, or Runcorn where there is a permanent taxi rank.
