Tall, impressive plant with large, crepe-paper white flowers with central yellow 'boss'. Needs a sheltered spot, out of cold wind and winter protection. Can make up to 2m of growth in a good season. Frost-hardy.

Romneya tolerates temperatures down to about -5C, but is really only reliable outside in well protected town gardens or southerly counties.
