Papaver orientale 'Snowgoose'

Large frilled, almost white flowers in early summer with purple blotch at the base of each petal. This variety has been bred for drought tolerance and will do well in drier, warmer spots. Hardy.

Perennial oriental poppies start into growth early and the leaves die down after flowering. If they look unsightly when they've finished flowering, just cut all the leaves back to ground level from where they will reshoot.
