Reliable form of Miscanthus with clumps of narrow arching leaves and tall stems of plume-like flowers in summer. They start a rich red colour, fading to pink and then grey. Hardy. Up to 1.5m.
Does it self-seed? No.When/how should I cut it back? Usually in early March, when new growth starts at the base. Cut back almost to ground level.
