Inula hookeri

Bold heads of golden yellow flowers with hundreds of long petals. Soft green foliage and the buds are soft and fluffy too. A good border filler. Spreads quite quickly especially in rich soils. To 60cm. Hardy. Butterflies love it!

Sue's Notes about Inula hookeri

Most Inulas are giants, at over 6ft. This one is an honorable exception at a sensible 2ft high. The best word to describe the flowers is one I've made up ' petalliferous' (see picture...)
