Evergreen hellebore with glaucous leaves and clusters of large green slightly pendant flowers. Seems to flower at almost any time of year, but mostly in spring. To 60cm. Hardy
Despite its Corsican heritage, this plant has survived completely unscathed through the coldest and wettest winters here in Cheshire. Grows best here in gravelly, dryish soil, though others say it's fine in clay. Seems unfussy!
