Disporum uniflorum (One-flowered disporum): An unusual woodland plant with tall stems of arching pale yellow bell shaped flowers in spring. Black berries in the autumn. Hardy. Up to 60cm.

Epimedium x versicolor 'Sulphureum' (Barrenwort 'Sulphureum'): Evergreen perennial with pale lemon yellow flowers on wiry stems. Good in dry shade. Leaves can turn red as they age. Hardy. Up to 35cm.

Saruma henryi (upright wild ginger): An unusual shade loving perennial with pale green, hairy, heart shaped leaves and bright yellow three-petalled flowers. Hardy. Up to 50cm.
