Deep maroon, three petalled flowers over three-leaved foliage. Very choice woodland plant. Very slow to establish and flower but well worth it when it does. Hardy. Up to 50cm.

Needs dappled shade, cool conditions and open, leaf-mould rich soil to thrive. Do not disturb once planted.
