Actaea simplex 'James Compton'

Actaea simplex 'James Compton' (Baneberry 'James Compton' (Previously known as Cimicifuga))

A lovely dark leaved form, with long, tapering flowering stems and large finely divided purple-brown leaves. Best in a rich soil but does just fine on our light soils too if its leaves are out of the sun.
