Lacy near-black leaves in spring and summer, slender spikes of scented white flowers in late summer. Elegant. Very good in shade. Dislikes dry soils. Folaige to 1m, flower spike to 2m. Hardy.

I am not entirely sure that this plant is sufficiently different from Brunette or James Compton to be worth stocking - both are easily as good, in my view and easier to get hold of!
