Bluebell Cottage Gardens and Nursery
Tucked away down a quiet country lane, this rural gem is one of Cheshire's best kept secrets.
Owned and managed by former BBC Gardener of the Year, Sue Beesley, Bluebell Cottage Gardens, nursery, wildflower meadows and bluebell woods make a perfect half day out for keen gardeners, wildlife enthusiasts, or anyone in need of a break from the whirlwind of modern life.
The gardens and nursery are open Wed to Sun, 10-5pm from April to September. The tea room serves hot and cold drinks, cakes and Cheshire Farm Ice Cream. We welcome groups by appointment and have parking facilities for cars and coaches. Walkers are welcome to park in our walker's parking area and enjoy the many circular routes along the Trent and Mersey Canal and the River Weaver. We look forward to seeing you.

Update on the bluebells - I've just been for a walk through the woods and they are still out in force and looking fantastic. It's well worth a walk through - but do bring sturdy boots or wellingtons as the path is muddy and a bit slippery in places.

Just back from a couple of days at Malvern Show - always great to see what other nurseries have to offer and to pick up a few new treasures. Meanwhile, star plant of the week here at Bluebell Cottage is Geum 'Princes Juliana'. Glowing orange flowers held on tall stems. A real eye-catcher.
